Nature

It is the unchangeable genetic traits or heredity of a child which he obtains from his parents. Children inherit many features like height, skin and eye colour, gender and even disease. Nature also regulates physical attributes, intelligence and psychological traits of a child and hence effects his development. Gifted children shows better intelligence due to their genetic traits.

Nurture

It is the learned behaviour which a child obtains from the environment he lives. These includes his socio-economic background, family and school environment, peer groups, geographical factors, nutrition and exercise.

Nurture is dynamic and effects on childs physical development through nutrition and activity and also intellectual development by formal and informal experience.

Hence nurture is multichannel and multidimensional.

Nature and Nurture interactions are the leading factors in the development of a child's life. Both of them frame the personality, attitude, intelligence and helps in his physical, social, emotional, moral and behavioural development.
